Is Kit Digital Still Available in 2026? The Reality of the BOE

Yes. The Kit Digital has not disappeared in 2026.

What has been activated is an expansion phase, regulated by Order TDF/39/2026 published in the BOE on January 28, designed to take advantage of the NextGenerationEU European funds that were not consumed in previous calls.

This expansion allows more companies, self-employed individuals with at least 6 months of seniority, and SMEs with up to 49 employees to access the digital voucher, including those that had justification issues in previous phases and can now rectify them.

However, this is not a new program, but rather an extension of the Kit Digital as we know it, adapted to the final context of the NextGenerationEU funds: valid until the total exhaustion of the remaining budget, with no specific closing date.

Kit Digital 2026 Expansion: What Has Changed

The 2026 expansion introduces a key change: the program is no longer tied to a rigid closing date (such as the 10/31/2025 date previously announced) and now depends on the total exhaustion of the remaining funds.

The goal is to release the NextGenerationEU European resources not consumed in previous calls, making it easier for more SMEs and the self-employed, including those with previous incidents, to access digital vouchers of up to €12,000 depending on their segment.

• Segment I (10 to 49 employees): up to €12,000.
• Segment II (3 to 9 employees): up to €6,000.
• Segment III (self-employed or 2 employees): up to €2,000.

In practice, this means that:

• The Kit Digital remains active in 2026.
• There will be calls and processing during 2026.
• The window will close progressively as funds are consumed.
• More information will be provided throughout the year.

Until when can the Kit Digital be requested in 2026?

There is no established deadline as in previous stages. Instead of a fixed deadline, the Kit Digital in 2026 will be available until the remaining funds are exhausted. Therefore, the key factor is no longer the calendar, but the speed of the application.

Those who apply earlier will have more options to access the voucher.

Who can benefit from the Kit Digital 2026 now?

The new phase focuses on companies and the self-employed who, for various reasons, were unable to take advantage of the program in previous calls.

In summary, the program becomes more inclusive:

• Self-employed with minimum seniority (at least 6 months).
• Micro-enterprises with 0 to 2 employees (Segment III).
• SMEs with previous justification issues that are now being rectified.

In other words, entry is facilitated for those who were left halfway in previous phases, provided they meet the basic requirements (tax residence in Spain, being up to date with the Tax Agency and Social Security, de minimis limits).

Can I apply for my Kit Digital 2026 now?

Not yet. The specific deadlines and opening dates for new applications for the 2026 phase have not yet been published.

What you can do now is prepare for when the calls open:

• Complete the self-diagnosis test on the Acelera Pyme platform.
• Check that you meet the basic requirements (seniority, tax status, de minimis limits).
• Identify digitizing agents and solutions from the official catalog.
