Computer vision

Manage, automate, inspect, monitor… any application is possible with computer vision technology.

Computer vision systems for companies

Computer vision solutions let many companies solve problems in an automated way.

  • Image classification with computer vision
  • Automatic control of labelling and packaging
  • Quality control
  • Code reading and verification
  • Image segmentation
  • Counting with computer vision
  • Safety in the workplace

What can computer vision be used for?

Image recognition

Based on computer vision algorithms to identify objects or alphanumeric codes in images captured in real time, match them against online catalogues and extract information that is relevant and valuable for the client.

Security control centres

Efficient monitoring and immediate response in video-surveilled areas, industrial sites or transport infrastructure, by automating event and incident detection and alarm triggering.

Autonomous visual inspection systems

Computer vision algorithms in general-purpose cameras for automated vehicle access, storage-space control, goods traceability, machine monitoring or staff management.

Robotic vision

Most robotic machines, often in manufacturing, need to see their surroundings to do the job. In manufacturing, machines can inspect assembly tolerances by looking at them.

Behaviour analytics

They collect information on users’ movements, poses or trends, customer type, age and so on, and combine it with other data (consumption or marketing) to decide strategic measures that have a greater impact on customers.

Satellite image processing

Analysis aimed at monitoring large infrastructure, calculating surface areas and detecting and monitoring changes in land cover (seasonal, vegetation, urbanisation, tides, hydrography, geomorphology, disasters and so on).

What is computer vision?

Computer vision is the ability given to machines to see and analyse images. These systems imitate human vision and allow computers to recognise shapes, colours, sizes and every other attribute that can be captured graphically.

Once the image is captured, advanced algorithms step in. They analyse the information in that image from parameters set in advance for the goal to be reached, which the system has been trained for.

The result is very high effectiveness in the task (anomaly detection, defect identification, material classification, counting, safety, management of large areas…), with the probability of error practically removed and results obtained immediately, in tenths of a second.

Automation for industry… and much more

Computer vision is evolving quickly, from traditional statistical methods to methods based on deep learning neural networks. What is it for? Computer vision algorithms can learn the meaning of images and carry out repetitive control and monitoring tasks automatically.

Computer vision simulates and automates the elements that make up human vision. With sensors and machine learning algorithms, these advances can be applied to identification or classification processes, saving time and resources.

Computer vision for any area of activity

Among its countless applications in every sector, it is especially useful for identifying faulty products, managing spaces, automatic counting, classifying products by size, colour or material, or reading information in different types of codes.

Make your current and future processes more efficient with computer vision. These systems provide the information required in real time and build an activity history that can later be used for many business activities. In a warehouse, for example, for stock management, demand forecasting or logistics optimisation.

Save time and reduce the probability of error to practically zero in production, logistics and organisational processes, in workplace safety, in controlling inbound and outbound references, and in any activity where graphic recognition can play a part.

Benefits of using computer vision

Objectivity

Inspection and selection processes are given complete objectivity.

Consistency

The result is consistent products, suited to the standards that were set.

Processing speed

Computer vision systems can analyse several product units or read codes in tenths of a second.

Cost savings

Detecting faulty products, and the speed of the analysis, raises productivity and lowers costs.

Better quality

Detecting departures from the standards that were set raises the quality of the final product.
