LISDATA Continues to Support NGO ATTsF in the Sahara

Thanks to LISDATA’s technological support, the Navarrese NGO ATTsF can reach a greater number of Sahrawi refugees in Algeria with more efficiency and agility. The agreement signed between both organizations will be maintained in 2024.

4 years of agreement for a good cause

In 2020, we signed a collaboration agreement with the Navarrese NGO ATTsF (Association of Workers and Technicians Without Borders), and in 2024, we will continue it, just as we have done for the previous three years. Thus, the LISDATA team will continue working on the development of a digitized fleet management system for the humanitarian organization. With it, the logistical needs of the projects that the entity carries out in the Sahrawi refugee camps in Tindouf (Algeria) can be optimized.

Technology at the service of people

ATTsF brings together professionals from different areas committed to improving the living conditions of inhabitants in developing countries. Its members have been offering technical solutions to complex problems in humanitarian crisis contexts for two decades, and have operated in places like Colombia, Ethiopia, and Mozambique. In the Sahrawi camps, they work on the maintenance and repair of truck fleets destined for the distribution of water and food aid, a task that LISDATA is facilitating through the digitalization and technological improvement of processes.

The beneficiary Sahrawi population warmly welcomed the LISDATA initiative with ATTsF

For our team, this solidarity project is exciting and truly motivating, as well as an opportunity to demonstrate the potential of new technologies to improve people’s lives. So far, two phases have been developed: a first analysis phase, and a second phase structured around the exhaustive reporting of food distribution, the availability of truck fleets, and associated costs.

A better way to visualize information and manage resources

This collaboration, now in its fourth year, was very well received from the outset by the beneficiary Sahrawi population, as well as by the volunteers and technicians of ATTsF and the Sahrawi Red Crescent working on the ground. As Moisés González, ATTsF technical coordinator in Tindouf, told us, “now we are more efficient, because before we collected a lot of data in Excel, but we didn’t have a way to easily visualize it to obtain complex information and make decisions.”

LISDATA's tools allow for better data visualization to obtain complex information and make decisions

For her part, Keltum Mohamed, data digitalization manager, noted that the Power BI tool introduced by the LISDATA team “greatly facilitates daily work, as we can access all the information we need on the same screen.” Solutions like this optimize the distribution of water and food in refugee camps, enabling ATTsF and its local partners to better manage often scarce resources.
