LISDATA Shortlisted for the BIND 4.0 Program

A total of 385 Industry 4.0 companies registered for this edition of the Bind 4.0 acceleration program, 50% more than last year. Startups from 57 different countries applied, with India, Colombia, Spain, Brazil, and France being the most represented. Among the candidates, BIG DATA and IoT are the most popular fields.

What is the Bind 4.0 program?

Bind 4.0 is a public-private accelerator involving the Basque Government and the provincial councils, as well as firms such as ABB, CAF, CIE Automotive, DanobatGroup, Euskaltel, Iberdrola, ITP-Rolls Royce, Mercedes Benz, Michelin, Repsol-Petronor, Microsoft, and Siemens. The selected startups, expected to come from all over the world, will receive specialized business training for six months from internationally renowned mentors, access to a paid contract, and financing facilities for their projects.

The highlight is the relationship between established companies and startups in the Industry 4.0 field, which will be established in a client-supplier format. In this way, startups will gain access to both real billing and a top-tier reference client that will open other doors for them later.
In addition to identifying talent to invest in, Bind 4.0 will help partner companies improve their competitiveness and positioning within the so-called fourth industrial revolution. As for the mentors, they include prestigious local entrepreneurs such as Eneko Knörr or Mikel Irizar, executives from large corporations like Samsung, Microsoft, or MIT, and industrial investment experts like Guillermo Arregui and Gonzalo Martínez de Azagra.

The initiative aims to improve the Basque entrepreneurial ecosystem and position Euskadi as a center for advanced industrial development and a hub for attracting international talent. Currently, Bind 4.0 is in the registration period for interested parties, a phase that will conclude on September 16. The list of selected startups will be published at the end of October, and the program will begin on November 14.
