Hazitek – Business R Support Program

LISDATA was granted non-refundable subsidies to support the implementation of Industrial Research or Experimental Development Projects, both competitive and strategic in nature, within the business sector of the Basque Autonomous Community, and within the specialization areas defined by the Science, Technology and Innovation Plan, Euskadi 2020.

The project is part of Industry 4.0, where a large number of digital solutions based on enabling technologies are being developed to meet the needs of different industrial sectors. LIS has observed that there is significant room for expanding functionality in the measurement and use of production efficiency to meet industry needs, where greater control over efficiency tracking and decision-making tools are in demand.

The overall objective of the project is to address the needs of the industrial sector, which demands greater control over production and tools that facilitate decision-making. To this end, the project proposes developing a suite for the production efficiency of equipment and industrial processes, based on traditional calculation techniques, which, thanks to artificial intelligence, will be able to generate forecasts based on stochastic models of production efficiency, enabling better management of the industrial environment.

The project makes use of various enabling technologies, such as cloud computing, IoT, and artificial intelligence. The combination of all these technologies, together with the ability to predict future efficiencies, gives the project a highly innovative character. However, this also presents a series of challenges to overcome, such as computational efficiency and the reliability of predictions, which will need to be addressed in order to achieve a competitive, value-added product.
