European BIG Data EDI Award
What is EDI?
EDI, European Data Incubator, is a European program within the Horizon 2020 framework that seeks to position European companies in the global market of technological competitors in the Big Data sector.
The program began in mid-2018. It involved 30 startups and proposed 14 challenges where data analysis plays a fundamental role. The first and one of the most important phases was the requirements gathering.
LISDATA proposed a requirements gathering strategy that laid the foundation for the rest of the program. In this case, the understanding of the needs with the partner company—which also served as the data provider—was exceptional. The idea was clear: to develop an anomaly detection tool for the production line to perform predictive maintenance on robotic equipment.
Predictive maintenance product
The industry currently suffers from costs associated with unplanned downtime on production lines due to failures in the equipment that makes up the production process. Furthermore, maintenance professionals face significant pressure and stress, having to monitor and repair machines as quickly as possible to minimize the costs associated with downtime.
Through advanced real-time data analytics, the Rise Up Data Pro product is able to monitor equipment on the production line and detect changes in operation that could lead to potential future downtime, allowing for better management of maintenance tasks. Data such as Risk of Failure or Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE), along with other KPIs, are displayed in a graphical interface organized by the different areas of the production zone.
In this way, the information analyzed by Rise Up Data Pro allows for the optimization of equipment maintenance, taking a step forward in the field of Smart Factories and Industry 4.0, and succeeding in reducing unplanned downtime and associated maintenance costs.

LISDATA among the finalists
LISDATA, along with 5 other European startups, has advanced to the final round of the EDI, which is dedicated to building solid alliances and identifying investment opportunities. It will attend major events to promote its products during March and April 2019, including a trip to Berlin for expert advice and the program’s final event.
