0Accidntes aims to reduce workplace accidents through technology

The 0Accidntes business consortium, in which LISDATA participates as a partner, aims to eliminate workplace accidents in the construction sector by using Industry 4.0 technologies.

Greater safety thanks to Industry 4.0 technologies

Although the number of workplace accidents in Spain has decreased significantly in recent decades, largely thanks to stricter safety regulations and better occupational risk prevention training, the construction sector still records relatively high figures. This is due to inherent risks such as working at great heights and operating heavy machinery. Now, the 0Accidntes consortium aims to put an end to this problem through technology.

What is 0Accidntes

0Accidntes, a consortium made up of several Spanish companies and co-funded by the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) through the CIEN Strategic Programme. Its goal is to achieve accident-free construction through the use of various digital tools. To this end, virtual sensors, state-of-the-art robotics, cybersecurity components and AI will be used to monitor work environments and predict dangerous situations in real time for the safety and health of construction workers.

LISDATA contributes its R&D expertise

LISDATA participates in 0Accidntes as one of the technology partners, working alongside Signe and Alisys with the aim of creating a cognitive platform through hybrid identity generation tools, autonomous exploration, and information gathering in confined or hard-to-access environments.

The business consortium, led by FCC Construcción, originated in a PTEC (Construction Technology Platform) working group and now includes more than a dozen partners with expertise in R&D&I and technology. These include, in addition to those already mentioned, Becsa, Fractalia, Metálicas Plásticas Jar and IDP, as well as the technology centres ITAINNOVA, CETIM and AIMPLAS, and INCOTEC as an external R&D&I consultancy. 0Accidntes hopes to create a future without preventable workplace accidents for the construction sector, thereby saving hundreds of lives each year.

Part of the funding for this project has come from the European Union (EU) through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The project duration is 36 months, with an expected end date of October 2025, and a total budget of €764,725, of which €301,330 is funded by the EU.
